OPP Helps Build Bathrooms for Elementary School Kids in Ethiopia.

Other Peoples Property is EXTREMELY Proud to be apart of this.  When you buy from us this is the result.  We were able to give $400 toward this project that gave 523 school kids clean water for washing their hands and having the luxury of having a bathroom.  This means more kids can go to school. HAITI: The Beautiful

When people think of Haiti they usually think of tragedy and chaos.  Which indeed, sadly is mostly the state of affairs for this country.  However, it is still a island in the caribbean.  A most lovely island.  There is so much potential here. On the last day before we left, we spent a few hours at a resort.  It was such a jolt from the devastation we had experienced to being on vacation for a few hours.  To swim in a most beautiful ocean and eat a delightful haitian meal was a welcome change. The thing that sets Mission of Hope  apart is their commitment to holistic living. While they are in the process of building 500 homes, they are equally concerned about building community.  And it proves to be a good model. This is from the MOH website and is one of the parts of the process.  ”The families will receive their homes free of charge; however, each family will be required to pay a marginal monthly community fee ($50 Haitian/$6.25 U.S.) for a period of five years.
